The Neanderthal Man museum (La-Chapelle-aux-Saints)
In 1908, a skeleton of a Neanderthal man was found in 1908 in La-Chapelle-aux-Saints. Centered around the replica of the grave, a guided tour of the museum will take you through the stages of human evolution, tools, fire making and hunting as well as explaining the differences between Neanderthal Man and Cro-Magnon Man.
All through the season, the museum proposes workshops, conferences, temporary exhibitions and the great Prehistorical Festival in the first weekend of August.
Open from 1st April to 5th November 2017 every afternoon from 2.30 to 6pm (except Thursdays)
In July and August : everyday from 10 to 12 and from 2.30 to 6.
On Tuesdays, Wednesdays, Thursdays and Fridays, visits designed for children. First guided tour at 11am.
Last guided tour at 5.15pm – All year upon reservation
